We all received an Akrotiri school leavers book in 2011. John had made a request that we stay in touch over the coming years. I had not read this until today. I wanted to find him online to send him my thanks, and found this instead. I feel quite upset that I cannot tell him how much my maths teachers impacted me. I find solace and comfort in mathematics because I was taught to enjoy it and allowed to enjoy the process.
